What Do You See - Session 7

Welcome back to session 7 of my series "What do you see?". Our focus is on helping business owners step back and take a different look at their business. Today's session focuses on how you are doing with the previous steps.

So, how are you doing? Are you plugging away at the actions, or did life happen and you have somewhat stalled in your progress?

As a Business Coach, one thing that also happens is accountability in helping you move the needle for your company. I want to see clients improve the performance of their 3 critical resources (time/team/money) to let them move to do the things they want to be doing. Focusing beyond what we can do today but moving towards where they want to be in the future.

Many times, without accountability we have a tendency to slip back into working in the business instead of working on the business. Michael Gerber's book (The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It ) spends a lot of time talking about where business leaders typically spend their time versus where they need to be spending their time. The end result is that without focusing on the business, it becomes an endless loop of just working in the business. While this may be good or a necessity today, if you don't make the change to move the needle where will you be in 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, 5 years. As a business owner is this really "WHY" you are in business? Remember we discussed this in session 2? Did your "WHY" say just to be working in your business, or was there something more.

Today, review our previous sessions and dust them off. Look at the work you did in them and reflect on what you accomplished or the objects you need to pick back up to get moving again.

Our next session will focus on the importance of engagement and how coaching and developing your staff is one of the most vital activities you can do.
